One Share. Dated:  May 1, 1811. Stock Certificate # 218 Issued to William Rawle Jun. The Academy's Raised Seal is at the lower left. The names at the bottom left and right of the building image are J. J. Barralet del (on the left) and B Tanner fc (on the right). It measures about 14-5/8" by 10-3/4" Condition is very good -- signed in ink -- aged -- some tears along the edges and where the certificate was folded -- folded a number of times as you can see -- some staining in the creases -- has the engraving imprint line around the outside of the page -- some light mildew as you can see  -- for its age, it is in very good condition. ******************** The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts was founded in 1805 by painter and scientist Charles Wilson Peale, sculptor William Rush, and other artists and business leaders.
