Due to the high cost of producing a .99999 gold coin they decided to postpone the idea. The remaining coins were sold as test patterns. With only 394 coins, this coin is much rarer than the 1908c Specimen Soverign with only 636 minted selling for over $25,000 in SP-67. The 1921 Fifty Cent piece with about 200 known sells for $23,000 in VG to $150,000 in MS-65. This coin will easily be $10,000 within 2 years.
