Description
hankandpam Store 1942 Cent NGC PR66RD UC~ULTRA (DEEP) CAMEO~Finest Known Description CHANCE OF LIFETIME~~SALE~~ EXTRAORDINARY 1936-1942 PROOF COINSI am a private collector.  This is an opportunity to buy a true rarity.  The Buy it now price of $12,000 represents an opportunity to own one of the rarest American coins.  This is truly a "one of kind" - with nothing graded finer for this year.  There are only six Ultra Cameo cents in the entire series from 1936 to 1942.  Aside from one 1937 PR67, there is no finer cent.  In future years this coin should appreciate  substantially. In the period prior to 1970, there was little appreciation of cameo effects in American coinage.   For the period between 1936 and 1942, there are virtually no cameo coins.   Collectors who have watched recent sales, should remember that finest known cents  without cameos have brought prices in excess of $10,000 for coins grades PR67.  For registry set collectors, please note that ultra cameo gives you +2 points.  This coin would be equivalent to a PR68 (but none exist). This is a "monster" coin.  Regardless of cost, it is one of my favorite coins for sheer beauty.  I could not get a good scan or picture to show the incredible features of this coin. A bright orange on both obverse & reverse over brilliant fields.  The obverse fields have some discoloration near the data and "Liberty".  Examination under a loop reveals clean fields with only one "flyspeck" visible - exceptional for Lincoln proofs.  Fabulous contrast is shown on both Lincoln and the wheat stalks.  The obverse contrast is truly magnificent. Please check out my extraordinary listings of high end Morgans as follows:1879-S NGC MS681880-CC NGC MS671884-S NGC MS621889-CC PCGS MS631895-O PCGS MS63Interested in more high end 1936-1942 proofs???  In a few days, I will be listing one of the finest collections of these coins - all graded by PCGS & NGC.  Most coins are near finest grades known.  Payment ~~~~THIS IS A NO PAYPAL AUCTION~~~~PayPal is NOT available for this auction.  Payment by bank transfer is preferred.  Check or money order is acceptable.  Personal checks are held for 7 days.Payment is due within 5 days of auction closing.
