Condition is better than fine, (in my humble opinion), with no visible marks, good contrast and a nice even tone. I think the macro photos below more than highlight any imperfections, similar to using an eyeglass. Should any experienced collectors have any questions please do just send me a mail. As tempting as it can be for somebody like me who generally sells just jewellery, I haven't cleaned this piece in any way so as to leave the option of a lustre finish to the winning bidder.   Quick note to new collectors: Gold prices are basically only going up. "Book prices" can often be outdated by time of going to press! Figures from the 5th edition of the standard world gold coin catalog for example, value this coin at around £50 over the average full sovereign.
