Description Item is a very rare, seldom offered Morgan Dollar PROOF.  Only 792 proofs were minted of this issue year, fewer than the number struck for teh legendary 1895 Morgan dollar!  This coin is simply extraordinary.  Surfaces are brilliant and each side has thick mint frost over the devices that sets up a stark CAMEO contrast against the depth of mirrored reflectivity in the fields.  Some softness over the hairlines - all typical of the 'weakness' of Morgans struck during this period.  The entire mint year of 1893 in the Morgan series are difficult to find, proof coins are extremely rare and seldom offered.  Excellent coin for the very discriminating collector of this wonderful silver dollar series!!
