This is the last we have of this gold, so we will move on to something else from here. This gold originated in the Central mining district of Alaska and can be expected to run between 18kt and 20kt in purity. The majority of the nuggets, or flakes, are flat and uniform in thickness.  There is a mix of sizes ranging from 3-4mm on the smallest sizes to 9-10mm on the larger sizes.  All the flakes are less than 1/2mm thick.  We have used this gold in our small manufacturing shop and know that it works up very nicely. Due to the uniform flatness of the gold it also looks great in the plastic lens "lockets" that one can use as a jewelry item. There are always a few larger, thicker and odd shaped nuggets in each lot as we pour each 1/4 ounce from a larger bag of gold.  Not many, but they are in the main bag and we have not separated them out.
